Privacy policy

This website is operated by George Prosser, a sole trader, trading as Apt Dynamics (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website.

When you book a free audit, we collect the details you enter: your name, business name, email address, and optionally your phone number, current website address, type of business, what would help most, how customers get in touch, average job or customer value and any notes you choose to add. We also record whether you opted in to marketing emails.

When you contact us by email or phone, we keep a record of the conversation so we can respond and follow up.

Technical information. Our hosting provider processes standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to deliver and secure the website. The enquiry form uses your IP address temporarily to limit repeated submissions; it is not stored with your enquiry.

• To prepare your audit and reply to you — because you have asked us to, and it may lead to a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
• To send occasional marketing emails — only if you have opted in (Article 6(1)(a) and PECR). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us.
• To keep records required for legal, tax and accounting purposes where you become a client (Article 6(1)(c)).

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions with legal effects.

We never sell your information. We use trusted service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:

• Website hosting: Vercel Inc.
• Enquiry database: Supabase Inc. (data stored in London)
• Website emails: Resend
• Business email and documents: Google Workspace

Some of these providers are based in the United States and may process data there. Where they do, we rely on the UK–US data bridge or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, so your information keeps an equivalent level of protection.

• Audit requests that don’t lead to work: 12 months, then deleted.
• Client records: for the length of our agreement and afterwards as required for legal and accounting purposes, normally 6 years after our work together ends.
• Marketing consent: until you unsubscribe or ask us to stop.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time.

To make a request — including asking us to delete your enquiry — contact george@aptdynamics.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

This website does not set non-essential cookies. If analytics is enabled, we use a privacy-friendly, cookieless service that does not store information on your device or track you across websites.

If we ever introduce cookie-based analytics or advertising tools, we will ask for your consent before they are activated, and you will be able to change your choice at any time.

The website is served over HTTPS. Enquiry data is stored with access restricted to authorised people, and service credentials are kept on the server — never in the browser. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
